In the midst of the global pandemic, when physical collaboration was nearly impossible, we launched a bold initiative: to explore the Future of Industrial Operations. Rather than relying solely on internal assumptions, we chose a different pathâone rooted in curiosity, humility, and dialogue. We reached out to partners and customers to co-create a shared vision for the future of manufacturing. This approach, which we now call Co-Visioning, became the foundation of something much bigger.
These early conversations revealed something powerful: transformation thrives on exchange. People werenât just willing to talkâthey were eager to connect, to learn from one another, and to shape whatâs next. We discovered that many of the challenges and aspirations voiced across industries were strikingly similar. Yet, without a shared space to meet, these voices remained isolated. Thatâs when the idea of a community began to take root.
As we delved deeper into innovation, we encountered a recurring challenge: connecting innovation projects with real users. Time constraints, limited access, and unclear engagement paths often left promising ideas without the validation they needed. We realized that innovation without evidence is just speculation.
This insight sparked the creation of what we first called the Innovation Clubâa living, evolving space for experts, lateral thinkers, and curious minds. It was designed not just for feedback, but for co-creation. A place where Siemens teams and external voices could meet as equals, shaping meaningful solutions together. Here, community members arenât just respondentsâtheyâre early influencers, co-creators, and strategic thought partners.
As Siemens Xcelerator emerged as our open digital business platformâcombining a curated portfolio, a growing ecosystem, and a transparent marketplaceâit became clear that this community spirit belonged here at its heart. The Innovation Club evolved into the Siemens Xcelerator Community: A space that spans beyond innovation, into transformation.
